At Draak, we source only the highest grade green Arabica beans from Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka. We only use 100% Arabica beans because of the higher level of sweetness, and greater acidity compared to Robusta which enables us to make coffees that have natural sweetness and a cleaner taste.
We roast all our coffee beans in-house to a fully city roast or what is also called a Vienna Roast, which aims to achieve a taste profile characterised by notes of chocolate, caramel, nuts and sugar; and a colour profile indicated by a deep chestnut brown colour.
At Draak, our roasting philosophy stands on three pillars.
Small batches - to retain freshness and have better control over roasts, we only roast in small batches everyday.
Balance - to find a sweet spot between the acidity of a lighter roast and the bold mouth feel of a darker roast.
Versatility - To roast in a way that the beans can be used for a variety of coffee drinks, mostly milk based coffees, but also cold brews and pour overs.

Our coffee beans are packed in 250gm foil lined bags with a one way valve for degassing
to maintain freshness. Our beans can be shipped anywhere within India via couriers.
